Welcome to LL Strandbygård (Lille Strandbygård), LL Strandbygård is owned and operated by the Sörman family, Martin, Marika, and their son Harry.

Let us introduce ourselves and share a little story about how we came to own Strandbygård.

Marika has previously worked in the hotel and restaurant industry, and in recent years as a surveying engineer in the construction sector.

Martin grew up on a farm and started working as an excavator operator after school. In 2015, he founded Sorex Entreprenad AB, a construction company specializing in roads, water, and sewage. In 2022, Martin sold the company to a larger publicly listed corporation.

In Easter 2022, we visited Bornholm to explore the island and look at farms. We hadn’t booked any viewings; we just drove around and visited farms on our own. When we arrived at Lille Strandbygård, we fell in love at first sight.

We knocked on the door, and a tenant answered. He gave us the owner’s contact information, the owner lives in Copenhagen.

We called the broker after Easter, who told us the property had already been sold. We then decided to contact the owner directly. He explained that while the buyer had signed the purchase agreement, he himself had not, so technically the deal was not completed. The owner wanted to know why he should sell to us. We shared our goals and vision for the farm and our life, and he found it very compelling. In the end, he never signed the contract with the other buyer and chose to sell LL Strandbygård to us.

Today, we are incredibly happy and grateful that he chose to sell to us.

We now manage, renovate, and develop the farm together as a family.

We purchased LL Strandbygård in 2022 and moved here in August 2023. The full renovation of the property began in April 2023 and is still ongoing in some areas. The rooms were fully renovated and opened in June 2025.
